Minimum & Maximum Sized Orders
To qualify for deeply discounted large orders pricing, customers must meet two criteria: (1) order the (non-negotiable) minimum quantity of pencils stated from the Orders by the Gross products, which varies by the type of pencil; and (2) have adequate time for production and shipping. There is no maximum sized order, but remember, orders must be paid in full at the time of purchase. Large Orders cannot be rushed.

Hexagonal pencils require up to two weeks in production and then shipping occurs. Round pencils require up to 27 days in production and then shipping occurs. Very large and extremely large orders may take longer than this stated time period in production.

Orders by the Gross ship separately from our sister store's Orders by the Dozen and each type of Order requires its own separate shipping fee be paid. Small quantity items such as sharpeners ship as Orders by the Dozen and must be a separate order from pencil Orders by the Gross.

No free samples are available.


Bids
Please use the website to generate bids, not staff. If you are serious about purchasing, then read the pricing listed on the website. Orders are not processed until payment-in-full is received and in the case of check payment, the check must clear our bank. We do not accept Purchase Orders.


Previews
Orders by the Gross with logo-text dies are provided emailed proofs of artwork for the logo-text dies and require customer written approval via email prior to production.

Quantity Discounts
Large Order discounts are offered when the quantity ordered exceeds 720 full-length, consistent pencils or 1440 consistent, golf pencils. Explicitly Yours does not participate in auctions or price negotiations.


Pencil Quality
Our golf, hexagonal with erasers and round #2 lead pencils are USA made, First quality, wood cased pencils. The pencil erasers erase, not smudge. Only the coloring pencils are made in China.


Lettering Color Selection & Contrast
Dark colored pencils need light colored lettering and light colored pencils need dark lettering for contrast.
Light contrast looks like embossing rather than print. It's all up to you. It will be hard to read but that just may be the desired look. We won't second guess customers. If you order pencils and print colors with weak contrast, that is what will be printed.
Black lettering tends to look gloomy & depressing most of the time. We don't recommend it.
Universal colors tend to be white, gold and silver.


Logos
Logos are available on Orders by the Gross at a cost of $30 for each custom made die. Email logo files to Explicitly Yours after placing the order online. Our graphic artist will create a proof for approval prior to production. The logo die will be retained for two years from the date of the last order. During the life of the die, it is reusable at no additional cost. The die is made of metal and cannot be altered once made. Changes require that a new die be made with the corresponding charge.


Characters Per Text Line
The number of characters, which includes spaces & punctuation, that can be used on a text line depends on which font is selected, the pencil length and the individual characters used in the text line. It varies widely. M's and W's are double wide characters and therefore count as two characters in all fonts. There must be at least three characters, not including spaces or punctuation, per text line on all imprinted pencils.

Return Policy
All sales are final because personalized pencils cannot be resold. If Explicitly Yours makes a printing error, we will correct our error and reship at no additional cost to the customer. Do not send pencils back to Explicitly Yours.


Sales Tax
Under current state and federal tax law, only billing and shipping addresses within California are charged sales tax at the uniform rate based on Los Angeles County.


Rush Orders
Orders by the Gross cannot be rushed. No exceptions.

Shipping
Orders by the Gross ship separately from our sister store's Orders by the Dozen and therefore an order containing both types of orders must pay two shipping fees appropriate for each type of order.

Orders by the Gross ship exclusively UPS (United Parcel Service). Customers select the shipping speed during Checkout at the time of purchase. UPS Ground is not date guaranteed delivery.

Printing is for Right Handed Users
Explicitly Yours prints pencils so that the text is read from left to right while being held in the user's right hand. Upon written request, orders can be printed so that the text is legible for left handed users. All pencils in the order must be either for right handed or left handed users, not both. To request left handed printing if it is not part of the order page itself, an email must be received prior to the start of printing the order.


Blank Pencils
Explicitly Yours™ is not a distributor of blank pencils and hence the cost is the same as for printed pencils. To order blank pencils, simply order the pencils and write in text line 1 "I want to purchase these pencils blank".

Our sister store, www.ExplicitlyYoursPencils.com sells these items to accompany the purchase of personalized pencils. Not sold separately without a personalized pencils purchase.


Telephone Contact
There is no room for errors in personalizing pencils so all communications MUST be in writing via email to prevent errors or miscommunication. There must be an exact meeting of the minds regarding printing content before printing will begin, therefore, telephone customer service is not available. But if you are wondering, yes, we are here daily and we have a telephone; a telephone simply does not fit into this business for customer service purposes.
